Passion and a healthy obsession with all things skin is what brought Nneka Garel-Portes, LE to the world of skincare. Having acquired a Masters Degree in Business, Nneka knew that she would one day own a business, but was unsure of the direction she wanted to take. After years of soul searching and prayer, Nneka decided to throw caution to the wind and leave her civil service position with the City of New York, and enrolled at world renowned Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics, where she had the honor of learning from the industry’s leading Holistic Healers, Master Estheticians and Wax Experts.
After completing her studies and receiving her esthetics license from the State of New York, Nneka founded SKinfatuated in 2015 and took on the role of Counter Manager for a world renowned skincare brand at Barneys New York on Madison
Ave. The knowledge acquired during her time working in the luxury beauty industry has made Nneka a well rounded beauty professional, and strengthened her knowledge of the skincare market.
Nneka has since acquired several more certifications over the last nine years including micro needling, lash lift, brow lamination, henna brows, and PCA Chemical Peels.
Nneka is also a Head Master Trainer for Beauty Angels International Academy in the arts of Brow Lamination and Lash Lift, and Master Trainer for Ombre (Powder) Brows. A complete list of course offerings can be found via ColorLabAcademyOnline.com
Even with 4 children and a thriving business, Nneka makes time to mentor high school seniors from NYC’s City-AS high school via internship with SKinfatuated/ Color Lab NYC throughout the school year.
